HcG levels at 4.5 weeks?

Hi,

Sorry to ask a silly question but wondering if any of you had an HcG level of over 2000 at around 4 weeks, 4 days? I had mine done earlier this week and was shocked to hear that my level was 2018. That's a little high for 4 weeks right? I know there's little chance that I've conceived multiples but someone on the 1st trimester board commented that it was pretty high so it got me wondering...!

I have my numbers at home, but I think mine was somewhere around 4,000 or so.  NOT saying you are not having multiples, not saying you are.  Just letting you know what mine were.

Mine were 3791 at 23dpo. I had no inkling that it was twins. Just thought I finally had another sticky baby.

That number is not insanely high - basically you are 20 DPO, correct?  Unless it is insanely high, there is no correlation with twins (in my experience.)  I've seen singletons with much higher betas.  Mine were pretty low to be honest and I had no inkling it would be twins.

HCG is not a good indicator for multiples. However for comparison sake my HCG at 22 DPO with the twins was almost 3000 with my singleton at 23 DPO it was 5500. Each pregnancy is very different so even in the same woman it can vary so so much multiples or not. But congrats on the pregnancy let us know how many are in there!!

I didn't get my HCG levels tested but at 14 dpo my pregnancy test (the first one I took, I was 1 or 2 days late for my period) turned bright positive immediately. I guess that should have been a sign but I had never had a positive pregnancy test before so I had no idea they were usually light that early.

I got my BFP 4 days before AF was due and the line started to form immediately. It wasn't super dark but it did kind of shock me. The only reason why I even think twins are possible is because the chance of twins increases with each pregnancy and with age and this is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm 35.

I think mine was around 2,000 at that point.  Those numbers don't mean anything, though.  My SIL's numbers were higher than mine were, and she's having a singleton.

no, mine were only like one hundred something...I know they saw high usually means twins, but I think it could still go either way. GL!

At 4 weeks 2 days, mine was 1,825.

I'm still waiting for the verdict about whether I'm having a singleton or multiples (we did IVF, so multiples are a definite possibility) but my beta numbers were 843 (4w2d) and 4,523 (4w5d). My IVF nurse told me that you can't really go by hCG levels since they vary so much from person-to-person and pregnancy-to-pregnancy, but that she suspects I have twins on board. I hope she's right!

I got my 2nd beta back, and as of last Friday, mine was at 5448. I was about 4 weeks, 6 days on Friday. Seems kind of high so I'm nervous!! LOL.

Hmmmm....could go either way.  My beta at 4 weeks was 290, 4 weeks 2 days was 1149 and 5 weeks was over 10,000.  Your second beta at that date sounds like the normal range.  Good luck either way!!!

My first beta (11dp5dt) was 1046 and my second beta (13dp5dt) was 2754
